Five Side Effects of Diabetes on the Human Body

Diabetes: The human body is just like a machine that needs fuel to work. It gets most of its energy from glucose. Our body can make it, or we can get it from the food we eat. Insulin is a hormone that helps glucose get into our body cells to be used for energy.

We  can suffer from diabetes when insulin is not produced in the body, and glucose stays in our blood and does not reach the cells. When blood glucose is too high in our body, diabetes occurs.

Diabetes has various side effects on the human body. It can damage our eyes, kidneys, nerves, skin, feet, and heart. It may also lead to some types of cancer. Here are some issues that can be raised in the human body due to diabetes.

  1. FatigueÂ

Feeling dull and restless can be an issue to be faced. Patients suffering from this disease may feel weak or lazy because of the blood sugar fluctuation in their bodies. They mostly feel inactive when performing their everyday tasks.

A good diet, including vitamins or sufficient supplements, can help to deal with this problem. Adopting a healthy lifestyle can also minimize this issue.

  1. Weight loss

In diabetic patients, when insulin production reduces, and glucose doesn’t reach the body cells, fat starts burning, resulting in overall body weight loss. This is primarily seen in type 1 patients, but type 2 patients can also suffer from it.

People should consciously monitor it; too much weight loss can lead to serious issues. They should consult their doctor if they feel  massive changes in their  body weight.

  1. Eye damage or Blurred VisionÂ

Diabetes can damage our eyes in many ways. Our eyesight might get weak, and we see things blurry or cloudy. This affects the eyes’ ability to focus. Blurry vision can be an initial problem that may lead to many others, like blood spots or floaters, and eventually blindness.

If someone is facing the eye problems mentioned above, they must have diabetic eye treatment to control this situation, and avoid blindness.

  1. Heart Problems

Diabetes comes along, welcoming many other issues to the human body. This situation may lead to some severe factors. Our blood vessels may get damaged due to high blood glucose, and after some time, our heart may not work efficiently.

Taking care of diabetes is truly essential to protect our heart, as it can lead to severe heart issues later on. We should take our body seriously and have proper medication to avoid any further harm.

  1. More Urination Than Normal

People who suffer from diabetes have a common problem of frequent urination. They often get tired of being in this situation. High blood sugar levels force the kidney to work overtime and make too much urine. People with this order need to pass urine more than an average person.

This becomes more terrible for diabetic patients as it can also cause urinary tract infections. If anyone is suffering with this situation, they must go for a thorough examination.
